Renovations@ Rose Cottage

Olivia bought the house in 1982, 11 months after arriving in Australia from England, with her two sons, Stuart and Gavin. Here are some "Before's and After's" as the house 'changed' (with a lot of work, time and effort!) over the years.
After our marriage in 1993, and coming out of the RAAF later that year, we doubled the size of the house by extending onto the back, adding a large family room, study, large bedroom, and changing the 'sleepout' into the en suite bathroom.
Many of the homeowners in this area have sold their back gardens to developers and had another house built on the block. We preferred to keep our large garden, especially as Olivia had the swimming pool installed in 1983. (The block is duplex-sized, aprox. 750 sq. mtrs.)
I had a lot of help and advice with the extension from Brian Reeves, who became a good friend and workmate. Brian passed away in 1998, may he Rest in Peace.
